142:5 I remembered the days of old, I meditated on all thy works: * I meditated upon the works of thy hands.
142:6 I stretched forth my hands to thee: * my soul is as earth without water unto thee.
142:7 Hear me speedily, O Lord: * my spirit hath fainted away.
142:8 Turn not away thy face from me, * lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.
142:9 Cause me to hear thy mercy in the morning; * for in thee have I hoped.

84:3 Thou hast mitigated all thy anger: * thou hast turned away from the wrath of thy indignation.
84:4 Convert us, O God our saviour: * and turn off thy anger from us.
84:5 Wilt thou be angry with us for ever: * or wilt thou extend thy wrath from generation to generation?
84:6 Thou wilt turn, O God, and bring us to life: * and thy people shall rejoice in thee.
84:7 Shew us, O Lord, thy mercy; * and grant us thy salvation.
84:8 I will hear what the Lord God will speak in me: * for he will speak peace

Canticum Isaiae [4]
(Canticum Isaiae * Isa 45:15-30)
45:21 Non dixi sémini Jacob frustra: Quærite me: * ego Dóminus loquens justítiam, annúntians recta.

45:15 Verily thou art a hidden God, * the God of Israel the saviour.
45:16 They are all confounded and ashamed: * the forgers of errors are gone together into confusion.
45:17 Israel is saved in the Lord with an eternal salvation: * you shall not be confounded, and you shall not be ashamed for ever and ever.
45:18 For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens, * God himself that formed the earth, and made it, the very maker thereof:
45:19 He did not create it in vain: he formed it to be inhabited. * I am the Lord, and there is no other.
45:20 I have not spoken in secret, * in a dark place of the earth:
45:21 I have not said to the seed of Jacob: Seek me in vain. * I am the Lord that speak justice, that declare right things.
45:22 Assemble yourselves, and come, and draw near together, * ye that are saved of the Gentiles:
45:23 They have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven work, * and pray to a god that cannot save.
45:24 Tell ye, and come, and consult together: * who hath declared this from the beginning, who hath foretold this from that time?
45:25 Have not I the Lord, and there is no God else besides me? * A just God and a saviour, there is none besides me.
45:26 Be converted to me, and you shall be saved, all ye ends of the earth: * for I am God, and there is no other.
45:27 I have sworn by myself, the word of justice shall go out of my mouth, * and shall not return:
45:28 For every knee shall be bowed to me, * and every tongue shall swear.
45:29 Therefore shall he say: In the Lord are my justices and empire: * they shall come to him, and all that resist him shall be confounded.
45:30 In the Lord shall all the seed * of Israel be justified and praised.
V. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Ghost.
R. As it was in the beginning, is now, * and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

147:2 Quóniam confortávit seras portárum tuárum: * benedíxit fíliis tuis in te.
R. Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc, et semper, * et in sǽcula sæculórum. Amen.

Ant. Alleluia. * Alleluia, alleluia
Psalm 147 [5]
147:1 Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem: *praise thy God, O Sion.
147:2 Because he hath strengthened the bolts of thy gates * he hath blessed thy children within thee.
147:3 Who hath placed peace in thy borders: * and filleth thee with the fat of corn.
147:4 Who sendeth forth his speech to the earth: * his word runneth swiftly.
147:5 Who giveth snow like wool: * scattereth mists like ashes.
147:6 He sendeth his crystal like morsels: * who shall stand before the face of his cold?
147:7 He shall send out his word, and shall melt them: * his wind shall blow, and the waters shall run.
147:8 Who declareth his word to Jacob: * his justices and his judgments to Israel.
147:9 He hath not done in like manner to every nation: * and his judgments he hath not made manifest to them.

Capitulum Hymnus Versus {ex Commune aut Festo}
Prov. 31:10-11

Hymnus
Fortem virili pectore
Laudemus omnes feminam,
Quae sanctitatis gloria
Ubique fulget inclyta.

Haec sancto amore saucia,
Dum mundi amorem noxium
Horrescit, ad caelestia
Iter peregit arduum.

Carnem domans jejuniis,
Dulcique mentem pabulo
Orationis nutriens,
Caeli potitur gaudiis.

Rex Christe virtus fortium,
Qui magna solus efficis,
Hujus precatu, quaesumus,
Audi benignus supplices.

Deo Patri sit gloria,
Et Fílio, qui a mórtuis
Surréxit, ac Paraclito,
In sempiterna sæcula.
Amen.

V. Diffusa est gratia in labiis tuis. Alleluia
R. Propterea benedixit te Deus in aeternum. Alleluia
Chapter Hymn Verse {from the Common or Feast}
Prov. 31:10-11
Who shall find a valiant woman? far and from the uttermost coasts is the price of her.The heart of her husband trusteth in her, and he shall have no need of spoils.
R. Thanks be to God.

Hymn
High let us all our voices raise
In that heroic woman's praise
Whose name, with saintly glory bright,
Shines in the starry realms of light.

Filled with a pure celestial glow,
She spurned all love of things below;
And heedless here on earth to stay,
Climbed to the skies her toilsome way.

With fasts her body she subdued,
But filled her soul with prayer's sweet food:
In other worlds she tastes the bliss
For which she left the joys of this.

O Christ, the strength of all the strong;
To whom our holiest deeds belong!
Through her prevailing prayers on high,
In mercy hear thy people's cry!

Hymns of glory, songs of praise,
Father, unto Thee we raise;
Risen Lord, all praise to Thee,
Ever with the Spirit be
Amen.

V. Grace is poured into thy lips. Alleluia
R. Therefore God hath blessed thee for ever. Alleluia
