Pater noster, qui es in cælis, sanctificétur nomen tuum: advéniat regnum tuum: fiat volúntas tua, sicut in cælo et in terra. Panem nostrum quotidiánum da nobis hódie: et dimítte nobis débita nostra, sicut et nos dimíttimus debitóribus nostris: et ne nos indúcas in tentatiónem: sed líbera nos a malo. Amen.

Credo in Spíritum Sanctum, sanctam Ecclésiam cathólicam, Sanctórum communiónem, remissiónem peccatórum, carnis resurrectiónem, vitam ætérnam. Amen.

Start
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation: But deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary, full of grace; The Lord is with thee; Blessed art thou amongst women, And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, Pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried: he descended into hell; the third day he arose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven; sitteth at the right hand of God the Father almighty: from thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins. The resurrection of the body. And life everlasting. Amen.
V. O Lord, open thou my lips.
R. And my mouth shall declare thy praise.
V. O God, come to my assistance;
R. O Lord, make haste to help me.

Ant. Dóminus tecum. Alleluia.

Ant. Dóminus tecum. Alleluia.
Quadragínta annis próximus fui generatióni huic, et dixi; Semper hi errant corde, ipsi vero non cognovérunt vias meas: quibus jurávi in ira mea; Si introíbunt in réquiem meam.

For the sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land. (genuflect) Come let us adore and fall down: and weep before the Lord that made us: For he is the Lord our God: and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand.
Ant. Hail Mary, full of grace, * The Lord is with thee. Alleluia.

Forty years long was I offended with that generation, and I said: These always err in heart. And these men have not known my ways: so I swore in my wrath that they shall not enter into my rest.

Hymnus {ex Proprio de Tempore}
Quem terra, pontus, sídera
Colunt, adórant, prædicant,
Trinam regéntem máchinam,
Claustrum Maríæ bájulat.

Cui luna, sol, et ómnia
Desérviunt per témpora,
Perfúsa cæli grátia,
Gestant puéllæ víscera.

Beáta Mater múnere,
Cujus supérnus ártifex
Mundum pugíllo cóntinens,
Ventris sub arca clausus est.

Beáta cæli núntio,
Foecúnda sancto Spíritu,
Desiderátus géntibus,
Cujus per alvum fusus est.

Jesu, tibi sit gloria,
Qui natus es de Vírgine,
Cum Patre et almo Spiritu,
In sempiterna sæcula.
Amen.
Hymn {from the Proper of the season}
The God whom earth, and sea, and sky
Adore, and laud, and magnify,
Who o'er their threefold fabric reigns,
The Virgin's spotless womb contains.

The God, whose will by moon and sun
And all things in due course is done,
Is borne upon a maiden's breast,
By fullest heavenly grace possest,

How blest that Mother, in whose shrine
The great artificer divine,
Whose hand contains the earth and sky,
Vouchsafed, as in his ark, to lie.

Blest, in the message Gabriel brought;
Blest, by the work the Spirit wrought;
From whom the great desire of earth
Took human flesh and human birth.

All honour, laud, and glory be,
O Jesu, Virgin-born to thee;
All glory, as is ever meet,
To Father and to Paraclete.
Amen.

91:5 O Lord, how great are thy works! * thy thoughts are exceeding deep.
91:6 The senseless man shall not know: * nor will the fool understand these things.
91:7 When the wicked shall spring up as grass: * and all the workers of iniquity shall appear:
91:8 That they may perish for ever and ever: * but thou, O Lord, art most high for evermore.
91:9 For behold thy enemies, O Lord, for behold thy enemies shall perish: * and all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
91:10 But my horn shall be exalted like that of the unicorn: * and my old age in plentiful mercy.
91:11 My eye also hath looked down upon my enemies: * and my ear shall hear of the downfall of the malignant that rise up against me.
91:12 The just shall flourish like the palm tree: * he shall grow up like the cedar of Libanus.
91:13 They that are planted in the house of the Lord * shall flourish in the courts of the house of our God.
91:14 They shall still increase in a fruitful old age: * and shall be well treated, that they may shew,

100:3 Perambulábam in innocéntia cordis mei, * in médio domus meæ.
100:4 Non proponébam ante óculos meos rem injústam: * faciéntes prævaricatiónes odívi.
100:5 Non adhæsit mihi cor pravum: * declinántem a me malígnum non cognoscébam.

Psalm 100 [4]
100:1 Mercy and judgment * I will sing to thee, O Lord:
100:2 I will sing, and I will understand in the unspotted way, * when thou shalt come to me.
100:3 I walked in the innocence of my heart, * in the midst of my house.
100:4 I did not set before my eyes any unjust thing: * I hated the workers of iniquities.
100:5 The perverse heart did not cleave to me: * and the malignant, that turned aside from me, I would not know.
100:6 The man that in private detracted his neighbour, * him did I persecute.
100:7 With him that had a proud eye, and an unsatiable heart, * I would not eat.
100:8 My eyes were upon the faithful of the earth, to sit with me: * the man that walked in the perfect way, he served me.
100:9 He that worketh pride shall not dwell in the midst of my house: * he that speaketh unjust things did not prosper before my eyes.
100:10 In the morning I put to death all the wicked of the land: * that I might cut off all the workers of iniquity from the city of the Lord.
V. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Ghost.
R. As it was in the beginning, is now, * and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

101:2 Non avértas fáciem tuam a me: * in quacúmque die tríbulor, inclína ad me aurem tuam.
101:3 In quacúmque die invocávero te, * velóciter exáudi me.
101:4 Quia defecérunt sicut fumus dies mei: * et ossa mea sicut crémium aruérunt.
101:5 Percússus sum ut foenum, et áruit cor meum: * quia oblítus sum comédere panem meum.
101:6 A voce gémitus mei * adhæsit os meum carni meæ.
101:7 Símilis factus sum pellicáno solitúdinis: * factus sum sicut nyctícorax in domicílio.
101:8 Vigilávi, * et factus sum sicut passer solitárius in tecto.
101:9 Tota die exprobrábant mihi inimíci mei: * et qui laudábant me, advérsum me jurábant.
101:11 A fácie iræ et indignatiónis tuæ: * quia élevans allisísti me.
101:24 Respóndit ei in via virtútis suæ: * Paucitátem diérum meórum núntia mihi.
101:25 Ne révoces me in dimídio diérum meórum: * in generatiónem et generatiónem anni tui.
Amen.
Psalm 101 [5]
101:1 Hear, O Lord, my prayer: * and let my cry come to thee.
101:2 Turn not away thy face from me: * in the day when I am in trouble, incline thy ear to me.
101:3 In what day soever I shall call upon thee, * hear me speedily.
101:4 For my days are vanished like smoke: * and my bones are grown dry like fuel for the fire.
101:5 I am smitten as grass, and my heart is withered: * because I forgot to eat my bread.
101:6 Through the voice of my groaning, * my bone hath cleaved to my flesh.
101:7 I am become like to a pelican of the wilderness: * I am like a night raven in the house.
101:8 I have watched, * and am become as a sparrow all alone on the housetop.
101:9 All the day long my enemies reproached me: * and they that praised me did swear against me.
101:10 For I did eat ashes like bread, * and mingled my drink with weeping.
101:11 Because of thy anger and indignation: * for having lifted me up thou hast thrown me down.
101:12 My days have declined like a shadow, * and I am withered like grass.
101:13 But thou, O Lord, endurest for ever: * and thy memorial to all generations.
101:14 Thou shalt arise and have mercy on Sion: * for it is time to have mercy on it, for the time is come.
101:15 For the stones thereof have pleased thy servants: * and they shall have pity on the earth thereof.
101:16 And the Gentiles shall fear thy name, O Lord, * and all the kings of the earth thy glory.
101:17 For the Lord hath built up Sion: * and he shall be seen in his glory.
101:18 He hath had regard to the prayer of the humble: * and he hath not despised their petition.
101:19 Let these things be written unto another generation: * and the people that shall be created shall praise the Lord:
101:20 Because he hath looked forth from his high sanctuary: * from heaven the Lord hath looked upon the earth.
101:21 That he might hear the groans of them that are in fetters: * that he might release the children of the slain:
101:22 That they may declare the name of the Lord in Sion: * and his praise in Jerusalem;
101:23 When the people assemble together, * and kings, to serve the Lord.
101:24 He answered him in the way of his strength: * Declare unto me the fewness of my days.
101:25 Call me not away in the midst of my days: * thy years are unto generation and generation.
101:26 In the beginning, O Lord, thou foundedst the earth: * and the heavens are the works of thy hands.
101:27 They shall perish but thou remainest: * and all of them shall grow old like a garment:
101:28 And as a vesture thou shalt change them, and they shall be changed. * But thou art always the selfsame, and thy years shall not fail.
101:29 The children of thy servants shall continue: * and their seed shall be directed for ever.
V. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Ghost.
R. As it was in the beginning, is now, * and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Psalm 102 [6]
102:1 Bless the Lord, O my soul: * and let all that is within me bless his holy name.
102:2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, * and never forget all he hath done for thee.
102:3 Who forgiveth all thy iniquities: * who healeth all thy diseases.
102:4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction: * who crowneth thee with mercy and compassion.
102:5 Who satisfieth thy desire with good things: * thy youth shall be renewed like the eagle’s.
102:6 The Lord doth mercies, * and judgment for all that suffer wrong.
102:7 He hath made his ways known to Moses: * his wills to the children of Israel.
102:8 The Lord is compassionate and merciful: * longsuffering and plenteous in mercy.
102:9 He will not always be angry: * nor will he threaten for ever.
102:10 He hath not dealt with us according to our sins: * nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
102:11 For according to the height of the heaven above the earth: * he hath strengthened his mercy towards them that fear him.
102:12 As far as the east is from the west, * so far hath he removed our iniquities from us.
102:13 As a father hath compassion on his children, so hath the Lord compassion on them that fear him: * for he knoweth our frame.
102:14 He remembereth that we are dust: * man’s days are as grass, as the flower of the field so shall he flourish.
102:15 For the spirit shall pass in him, and he shall not be: * and he shall know his place no more.
102:16 But the mercy of the Lord is from eternity * and unto eternity upon them that fear him:
102:17 And his justice unto children’s children, * to such as keep his covenant,
102:18 And are mindful of his commandments * to do them.
102:19 The Lord hath prepared his throne in heaven: * and his kingdom shall rule over all.
102:20 Bless the Lord, all ye his angels: * you that are mighty in strength, and execute his word, hearkening to the voice of his orders.
102:21 Bless the Lord, all ye his hosts: * you ministers of his that do his will.
102:22 Bless the Lord, all his works: * in every place of his dominion, O my soul, bless thou the Lord.

De Epistola beati Jacobi Apostoli.
Jas 5:1-6
Thesaurizastis vobis iram in novissimis diebus.

Lesson from the letter of St James the Apostle
Jas 5:1-6
1 Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl in your miseries, which shall come upon you.
2 Your riches are corrupted: and your garments are motheaten.
3 Your gold and silver is cankered: and the rust of them shall be for a testimony against you, and shall eat your flesh like fire. You have stored up to yourselves wrath against the last days.
4 Behold the hire of the labourers, who have reaped down your fields, which by fraud has been kept back by you, crieth: and the cry of them hath entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.
5 You have feasted upon earth: and in riotousness you have nourished your hearts, in the day of slaughter.
6 You have condemned and put to death the Just One, and he resisted you not.
V. But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us.
R. Thanks be to God.

R. I will sing a new song unto thee, O God Alleluia.
* Upon a psaltery of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee. Alleluia, Alleluia.
V. Thou art my God, and I will praise thee Thou art my God, and I will exalt thee.
R. Upon a psaltery of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee. Alleluia, Alleluia.
V. Jube domne benedicere.
Benedictio. Amen.

Jas 5:7-11

7 Be patient therefore, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth: patiently bearing till he receive the early and latter rain.
8 Be you therefore also patient, and strengthen your hearts: for the coming of the Lord is at hand.
9 Grudge not, brethren, one against another, that you may not be judged. Behold the judge standeth before the door.
10 Take, my brethren, for an example of suffering evil, of labour and patience, the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord.
11 Behold, we account them blessed who have endured. You have heard of the patience of Job, and you have seen the end of the Lord, that the Lord is merciful and compassionate

Lectio 3
Ex Tractatu S. Augustini Episcopi de Symbolo ad Catechumenos.
Lib. 3. cap. 4. in fine tomi 9.

Reading 3
From the Treatise of St. Augustine, Bishop, on the Creed, to the Cateihumens
Book 3, ch. 4, at the end
Through a woman came death; through a woman, life: through Eve, ruin; through Mary, salvation. The former, corrupted, followed the deceiver; the latter, uncorrupted, gave birth to the Savior. Eve willingly accepted the drink offered by the serpent and handed it on to her husband; and by their action both deserved the penalty of death. Mary, filled with heavenly grace from above, brought forth life, by which mankind, already dead, can be revived. who has worked this miracle, if not the Son of the Virgin and the Spouse of virgin who brought fruitfulness to His mother without taking away her in, integrity?
V. But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us.
R. Thanks be to God.

Te Deum
We praise thee, O God, * we acknowledge thee to be the Lord.
All the earth doth worship thee, * the Father everlasting.
To thee all Angels cry aloud, * the Heavens, and all the Powers therein.
To thee Cherubim and Seraphim * continually do cry.

(bow head) Holy, Holy, Holy * Lord God of Sabaoth;

Heaven and earth are full * of the Majesty of thy glory.
The glorious company of the Apostles * praise thee.
The goodly fellowship of the Prophets * praise thee.
The noble army of Martyrs * praise thee.
The holy Church throughout all the world * doth acknowledge thee;
The Father, * of an infinite Majesty.
Thine honourable, true, * and only Son;
Also the Holy Ghost, * the Comforter.
Thou art the King of Glory, * O Christ.
Thou art the everlasting * Son of the Father.

During the following verse all make a profound bow:
When thou tookest upon thee to deliver man, * thou didst not abhor the Virgin's womb.
When thou hadst overcome the sharpness of death, * thou didst open the Kingdom of Heaven to all believers.
Thou sittest at the right hand of God, * in the glory of the Father.
We believe that thou shalt come * to be our Judge.

Kneel for the following verse
We therefore pray thee, help thy servants, * whom thou hast redeemed with thy precious Blood.

Make them to be numbered with thy Saints, * in glory everlasting.
O Lord, save thy people, * and bless thine heritage.
Govern them, * and lift them up for ever.
Day by day * we magnify thee;

During the following verse, by local custom, all make a profound bow.
And we worship thy Name * ever, world without end.
Vouchsafe, O Lord, to keep us * this day without sin.
O Lord, have mercy upon us, * have mercy upon us.
O Lord, let thy mercy lighten upon us, * as our trust is in thee.
O Lord, in thee have I trusted, * let me never be confounded.
Reliqua omittuntur, nisi Laudes separandae sint.
