May the intercession of the Blessed Abbot Sabbas, commend us, we beseech You, O Lord, so that what we do not deserve by any merits of ours we may obtain by his patronage.

In thy kindness, O Lord, receive the gifts which we have joyfully offered thee, and grant through the intercession of blessed Sabbas, that thy Church may rejoice in soundness of faith, and ever be gladdened by days of peacefulness.

May the intercession of the Blessed Abbot Sabbas, as well as the reception of Your sacrament, protect us, O Lord that we may put into practice his way of life, and receive the help of his intercession.
